Several others are available to visit as well including cultural museums, art museums, and more.

Washington DC is also home to the most-famous monuments and memorials in the world. Students will have the opportunity to see the Washington Monument. Visiting the top of the monument is available upon request. They will also be able to visit the Lincoln Memorial where many rallies have been held over the years. Nearby they can see the Vietnam War Memorial and the Korean War Memorial. Just a short drive away you will find the Franklin D. Roosevelt Memorial and the Jefferson Memorial.

Other very popular sites include the Arlington National Cemetery, where many who died defending our country are buried. It is also the place where students will be able to see the "Changing of the Guard" at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. This is one ceremony that everyone should experience. Mt. Vernon is also a very popular, and oft-requested destination. It was the home of George Washington and it offers a glimpse into the way people lived in Colonial America.
